Er zijn verschillende niveau’s van softwareontwikkeling. Radix specialiseert zich in embedded en device driver niveau’s. Dit zijn de belangrijkste raakvlakken met de hardware en deze zijn het moeilijkste te implementeren. Door onze nauwe samenwerking met hardware ontwerpers bieden wij code die sneller en betrouwbaarder is. Onze toewijding naar deze gebieden van softwareontwikkeling leveren een unieke dienst op die niet bij andere firma's gevonden wordt.
Embedded Systemen zijn computers (microprocessors) die zijn embedded in op maat gemaakt hardware. Voorbeelden van embedded controle systemen zijn draagbare medische apparatuur en mobiele telefoons, politie, brandweer, noodcommunicatie apparatuur, laboratorium testapparatuur, robot apparatuur en productiecontrole.
Onze oplossing biedt op de gebieden van telecommunicatie, numeric processing, “high speed” controle en instrumentatie. Daarnaast voor graphics en beeld verwerking is digitale signaal verwerking (DSP) een mogelijke oplossing.
De software voor embedded systemen moet klein zijn (dwz. mag maar weining geheugen vragen.) en moet vaak “real-time” functioneren. Gespecialiseerde systemen en talen vergemakkelijken de productie van “real-time” software met een een lage beslasting van het geheugen. Onze ontwikkelingsomgeving omvat faciliteiten voor het testen en debuggen van dit type software. Met gebruik van Emulators kunnen wij de software zonder het doelsysteem testen (voornamelijk nuttig indien het doelsysteem nog niet verkrijgbaar is) en aanverwante apparatuur (zoals maachine werktuigen) is.
Bij Radix zijn wij betrokken bij het ontwerpen en ontwikkelen van “embedded” software componenten en systemen
