Vision/Objective
- To develop a user friendly system that has features of e-commerce and social networking platform in a simple but extensive manner.
- To provide a communication channel to the service seekers and service providers.
- The system should facilitate the users to maintain their profile as a service seeker or service provider. This profile should be an extensive one for both the scenarios.

Scope
Designing, developing, testing, and deploying the website to provide a platform for services showcase and accessibility.
The Requirements
- The client required a system to manage all the modules of user management from both user and admin point of view.
- The system should act as a promotion channel for services sales for merchants. They should be able to manage the services and offers provided by them.
- The system should display the merchants and their services location wise.
- There should be robust content management available.
The Solution
- The first step towards developing the solution was to have the right resource and technology available.
- The system was built on Ruby on Rails to make the development process faster and highly accurate.
- Module wise features were identified to accomplish the objectives.

Brief Description
Pegpay is a unique platform for marketing and accessibility of services. The system provides a streamlined way for service providers and service seekers to establish communication. The offers can be pegged ie offers can be locked in the system and can be used in future. The system has coupons for every offer. The coupons decrease with more and more users pegging. Once a user pegs an offer, it gets added to his account for specific timeframe. He can take his time to make the purchase decision. This system also enables users to interact with each other.
The system also acts as a community portal where a user can add other users as his friend. The system gives out alert notifications whenever any update is made by the friends.
A user can simultaneously be a service seeker as well as a service provider. Likewise a user can maintain his profile – manage his account, peg balance, maintain his store, create coupons for items, etc. The system is a free sales platform for the merchants where they can showcase their services and products. They can issue coupons, bundles, and gift certificates to facilitate their sales. They can promote their store by sharing it with their friends.
Users of the system can search for services through service category and location. Overall, Pegpay is a communication channel for ‘effective service/product marketing’ and ‘service search and accessibility within a desired location’.
